Boat accident near Alcatraz leaves one person dead and two missing

A boating accident in San Francisco Bay claimed one life and left two people missing after a vessel carrying 19 passengers overturned near Alcatraz Island on July 14. Reuters reported the incident, citing local emergency services.
Rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene and started searching for the missing people. The U.S. Coast Guard joined the operation, and several rescue boats continued working in the area.
Officials said the reason for the accident is not yet known. They also confirmed that there was no fire on the boat, correcting information released earlier.
Emergency crews rescued most of the passengers. Thirteen people made it safely to shore, while three others were taken to hospital. One passenger suffered severe injuries and later died. Two people were still missing at the latest update.
Authorities continued searching the waters around Alcatraz Island, a popular tourist destination in San Francisco Bay, as efforts to locate the missing passengers remained underway.
